Kat Parks Iskenderian is a certified yoga instructor with 6 years and over 1,500 hours of teaching experience. With an extensive background in dance as an adolescent, three years of cheerleading in high school, and over ten years of personal yoga practice, it was a very natural step for Kat to progress into teaching as a certified yoga instructor after graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Chapman University in Orange County, California.
Born and raised in Miami, FL, Kat absolutely LOVES the sunshine and is currently thriving in her new home in Scottsdale, AZ. Kat’s immediate family lives in Sequim, WA, where Kat and her husband Dr. Ryan Iskenderian owned and operated their own wellness center and yoga studio (Via Vita Chiropractic & Wellness) for five years before moving to the desert.
The clarity and joy that yoga and positive thinking has brought to Kat's life is her main passion that she hopes to share with as many students as possible. Kat’s primary style of yoga is based on a background in Vinyasa flow, and she teaches classes that are both challenging and empowering in a supportive space, with appropriate modifications for all levels of practitioners. She has a strong desire to share the extraordinary effects of both yoga and positivity on body, mind, and spirit, while inviting her students to breathe, self-reflect, and smile.
Dr. Ryan is a cum laude graduate of the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, where he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree in 2013. He is a certified Applied Kinesiology practitioner, utilizing a variety of muscle testing and energy field techniques that allow him to access the blueprint of deeper structural, chemical, and emotional patterns within the system.
Working with hundreds of patients over the last 8 years, Dr. Ryan's curiosity of how each of our bodies express and store different patterns led him to a deeper understanding of how to best influence lasting correction in the nervous system.
As his knowledge and experience have deepened over thousands of hours of work, study, and play, his desire to share his gifts with the world has grown exponentially! He is currently working with patients full-time from a distance to assist with all areas of life, health, and spiritual transformation.
Dr. Ryan loves to express his own alignment through yoga, music, and dance, while fostering a deep connection and love for the outdoors through nature walks and hikes as frequently as possible. It is his belief that finding ways to continuously play in life will absolutely help us move toward any desire we can possible fathom.
